care beyond the box

love in reciprocity
why giving back matters to us

There is an old idea — noblesse oblige — that those who have been given much carry a debt to the world that gave it. I think about this often.

I did not build love in action in a vacuum. I built it from grief that was witnessed, from care that was modeled, from communities that showed me what sustained presence looks like in practice. That inheritance carries an obligation — not out of guilt, but out of gratitude. Out of the recognition that nothing meaningful is ever built alone.

Giving back isn't a feature of love in action it's the foundation. Because the care that made this possible was never only mine to keep.

how it works

A percentage of every sale of season-based empathy card sets goes directly to organizations doing the quiet, steady, often unrecognized work of making the world more empathetic, connected, and human.

This is built into the business model because I believe empathy, connection, and care exist inside webs of reciprocity. So, when you buy a box, care moves in more than one direction.

the organizations we support

We are actively in the process of building relationships with organizations whose work aligns with our values. If you know of any organizations that you think would benefit from our care beyond the box commitment, send us a note at hello@loveinactioncards.com.

community gatherings

In addition to giving back, we intend to offer a monthly community card-writing circle. These will be opportunities to gather with others virtually and in person to write to loved ones. We'll be sharing more about upcoming writing circles soon.
